Tom Clark is a 28 year police veteran, master defensive tactics instructor, use of force subject matter expert and firearms coach. He has served as an expert witness in force cases and has trained thousands of police officers throughout the state. In 2017 he started Pragmatic Force in response to repeated requests from new gun owners who wanted to understand deadly force law. From there he noticed that the civilian firearms instruction was not nearly the level of that in the law enforcement world. Too often it was taught by inexperienced instructors who had no training in adult learning concepts. All the firearm courses you see on the schedule came next. All the Pragmatic Force instructors are highly trained law enforcement professionals who are committed to making you a more skilled and knowledgeable self-defender.
